Several weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon, I was driving down 460W by a Cleaner World. No less than 4 deer had been hit crossing the road as a group and it was in a 45 mph stretch where most motorists are doing 55. I must have driven by about 5 minutes after it happened. One of the cars had the deer go heavily into the driver's side windshield and that lady appeared to possibly have been injured and maybe in shock. It wasn't but 3 months ago my 16-year-old hit a deer right behind Walmart on 460. Seems like the deer population is really growing. Funny you mention that about the animals.
